Manufacturing processes

Lindoe Welding Technology (LWT) focuses on new production methods that can reduce material and energy costs. The welding technology centre is a commercial fabrication lab, providing knowledge and an open facility where industry and academia are able to gain hands-on experience with a 32 kW high-power laser system.

It is possible to combine the laser with MIG/MAG welding equipment and industrial robot systems. This provides an infrastructure for thick sheet welding, cutting and surface engineering.

Customers are able to schedule the development of specific welding procedures and the development of large prototypes. LWT has 500 square meters of indoor space, which is sufficient for testing and preparing industrial scale production.

LWT can provide professional support and training in addition to laboratory equipment for the testing of weld quality and equipment for cold sawing, milling, hardness testing and impact testing.

LWT was established in 2012 at Lindø Industrial Park as a partnership between LORC and Force Technology. Its location in the industrial park means the availability of heavy lifting equipment, heavy transportation vehicles, harbour facilities and plenty of space.
