LORC tests and demonstrates technology for harvesting renewable energy offshore

LORC Nacelle Testing centre inaugurated

The LORC Nacelle Testing was inaugurated with a two-day celebration 10 and 11 September 2014.

Inauguration of the LORC Nacelle Testing facility

55 years after the opening of the Odense Shipyard by A.P. Møller, his granddaughter Ane Mærsk Mc-Kinney Uggla inaugurated the LORC Nacelle Testing facility at the premises of the former shipyard, which is now an industrial park. The ceremony attended by more than 200 guests marked a new era at the industrial park – now housing several companies from the wind turbine industry.

Lindø has always been home to visionary projects, said Ane Mærsk Mc-Kinney Uggla, Chairwoman for A.P. Møller Fonden and Vice Chairwoman for A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S. She was keynote speaker at the inauguration and 'released the test facility for use'.
