Jobs are abundant in the renewables industry - find them here

More than one thousand large wind turbines are currently being erected in the waters of Northern Europe. By 2020 this number will ten-fold each year. Such activities create jobs and by 2020 the offshore wind sector in Europe expects to employ 169,000 people. This will increase to 300,000 jobs by 2030 according to the European Wind Energy Association

NEW: By October 2012, the global offshore wind industry is about to surpass all previous records. Offshore wind power of more than 95.000 MW is now in the global project pipeline, according to Navigant/BTM Consult.

86 percent of these new wind turbines will be erected in European waters, five percent by the coasts of China. USA and South Korea counts for four percent each and Japan two percent.

Here you will find collections of current renewable jobs supplied by academia, industry and international agencies. Currently the most significant developments in global wind farms occur in the northern parts of Europe.

If you are a researcher or a student, take a look at the job offerings at the International Network on Renewable Energy (INORE) at the bottom of this page. INORE is a dedicated network for researchers working with issues related to offshore renewable energy, i.e. wave, tidal or offshore wind energy.
